Thank you for choosing us as your hotel in Montañita. We are located in the perfect spot, right between town and the Point. This place, which we love and that today has more than 20 rooms, used to be our family home. Back in 2007, fully aware of the magical destination we were in, we decided to give life to the hotel, adapting each year to higher standards of service and guest experience, ensuring a wonderful and friendly stay.
Thanks to our guest’s feedback, for the last 9 years we have been awarded the Tripadvisor Certificate of Excellence, and recognized as Gold Eco-Leaders for our ongoing efforts to protect the environment. We use biodegradable products, energy-saving light bulbs, and carry out campaigns to reduce water and electricity consumption.

In front of the hotel, we offer a secure 24/7 parking area so you can enjoy your stay with peace of mind.
If you’d like to book tours coordinated by agencies, we recommend Dailytours in town. They offer activities such as: coastal tours, surf tours, PADI diving, fishing tours, snorkeling in Isla Salango, whale watching (July–September), trips to Los Frailes, Agua Blanca, Isla de la Plata, paragliding, and horseback riding.

Traveling from Montañita is as easy as waiting a few minutes on the main road for the green “Manglaralto” bus, which passes every 20–30 minutes, going both north and south.
Nearby beaches: Manglaralto, Olón, San José, Curía, Las Nuñez, La Entrada. Each has its own charm and dining options. You can even walk or bike to Manglaralto (south) or Olón (north).
Other northern beaches: Ayampe, Las Tunas, Puerto Rico, Río Chico, Salango, Puerto López, Los Frailes, Machalilla.
• Los Frailes is a paradisiacal beach within Machalilla National Park, with calm waters and its own hiking trails in the surrounding dry forest.
• In Puerto López you’ll find many tour operators offering diving, snorkeling, trips to the ancestral community of Agua Blanca, as well as cultural and adventure programs.
Other southern beaches: Ayangue, Playa Rosada, and Salinas.
• Ayangue and Playa Rosada are calm beaches where you can rent umbrellas and spend a relaxing day by the sea.
• Salinas is a vibrant coastal city with buildings, a boardwalk, and plenty of water sports such as skiing, sport fishing, and jet skiing. There’s also a wide selection of restaurants and bars.

All ages and skill levels. Kundalini offers surf lessons with local instructors from Montañita. We do not rent boards, but there are surf schools on the beach that do, under supervision

Pigro al Sol, located at Kundalini’s beachfront, offers an international-level culinary experience, including a 5-course tasting menu that rivals some of the best restaurants in the world.
While enjoying your meal, you can also watch surfers mastering the waves nearby.

• #1 on the map: Banco Bolivariano, which also has a branch open Mon–Sat, 8 AM to 3 PM.
• The closest ATM to the hotel is inside the TIA Supermarket.
HOSPITAL
Only 5 minutes away by taxi from Kundalini is the Manglaralto Hospital, which has an ER and inpatient facilities in case of accidents.
Several pharmacies are located in town, including Cruz Azul, which is very well stocked and where you’ll likely find any medicine you need.
The nearest supermarket is TIA, located just over 100 meters from the hotel. In town you’ll also find many small local shops, marked on the map.
